The blurring of the boundaries between traditional ERP and CTRM is something that interests ComTech at the moment. The emergence of the SAP Commodity Management product line combined with the growing success of vendors such as DycoTrade who leverage the MS Dynamix platform, is strong evidence indeed that we are beginning to see CTRM markets evolve. So it was really not a significant surprise when I heard about Netherlands-based Cadran Consultancy and its JD Edwards compliant CTRM module. Cadran Consultancy is a private firm with around 42 consultants based in the Netherlands that has specialized in implementing JD Edwards in wholesale distribution and manufacturing companies in the Benelux countries. In 2014, it announced its involvement in a JV with two other JD Edwards-focused companies – Redfaire and Fullspeed Systems to create RedFaire International BV aimed at assisting clients in pan-European JD Edwards implementations using more than 150 JD Edwards and a network of more than 400 consultants internationally.
