Commverse Readying AI-powered Commodity Intelligence Platform

Last week, I had a briefing from Commverse along with a demonstration of a software product it has called Cogito ai – an AI-powered commodity intelligence platform that it intends launching in a couple of months time. Cogito ai is an AI-powered commodity intelligence platform designed to help traders, risk managers, analysts, and other commodity professionals make better decisions, they told us.  The platform uses agentic AI built on top of harmonized data from various structured and unstructured sources. Cogito ai combines structured data from ERP/CTRM systems with unstructured data from news feeds and other sources – like government reports in PDF format. “This is truly AI,” Sanjay Singla of Commverse told us. “It’s not just a marketing ploy using AI to attract attention. The system is LLM-agnostic and can work with different foundational models like Claude or ChatGPT based on enterprise preferences.” Cogito ai allows users to interact conversationally with it to get recommendations and then to continue by asking follow-up questions.
