Recently, I spoke with Simon Wheeler, CEO of Energy One Europe. The company just had its customer day in Brussels attended by around 50 customers, prospects, and partners. “It was a half-day event, and it went very well,” Simon told me. “Energy One will be following it up with a series of webinars going forward but for now, the focus is on E-World, which is fast approaching.” Energy One has the same location at E-World this year as last, and is tweaking its booth to suit, he told me. A complete team will be present along with representation from its Australian offices. Meanwhile, Energy One recently announced a deal with Shell Energy Australia (Shell) to use Energy One’s solutions for its growing portfolio of battery, demand response, renewable and other generation assets. Energy One Europe continues to do 2-3 new deals every month in the scheduling/logistics area while the enTrader ETRM also won new clients last year, he told me. Simon also saw lots of interest in the company’s weather derivatives capability.
