Towards the end of 2017, there were indications that things were beginning to pick up a bit. We expect that to continue with CTRM in the cloud being the big winner. Will 2018 be the year of Blockchain or will Blockchain turn out to have been woefully overhyped? My guess is that blockchain will start to find application, but in a smaller way than hoped by those promoting it. We will see more trials and initiatives to see how blockchain truly performs while I will stick my neck out and say that it will be automation that is the big disruptive technology of 2018 seeing application in trading, supply chains and across the industry. You can disagree or agree with me here. I’m still getting up to speed after the break here in Brno, but as the year progresses we will be highlighting the big trends in commodity technologies right here at CTRMCenter.
