ION’s RightAngle has a long and chequered history in the liquids side of commodities and, these days, continues to experience steady subscription growth and consistent new logo additions, according to Phil Wang, SVP, Product Management, and Rebecca Cecchini, VP, Product Management. I talked to Phil and Rebecca recently to get an update around RightAngle. They explained to me that they had seen good sales activity and interest particularly in the retail business segment including convenience stores, gas station chains, as well as in the airline sector. Furthermore, M&A and spinoff in the industry had also generated new business opportunities with larger institutions using RightAngle. Phil also told me that “ION’s Customer-for-life concept had also resulted in clients migrating from other ION commodity solutions to RightAngle,” and that almost every new RightAngle client opts for ION cloud hosting. An area of focus for ION was also enhancing RightAngle for more international market penetration as the product had been more North America focused in the past.
