Yes it appears so and the rumor mill is working full speed this morning. Word on the street is that another large independent CTRM firm has been acquired by software giant ION. If true and confirmed then this would be 3 of the top 5 CTRM vendors (OpenLink, Triple Point and the recently acquired company) that have now been swallowed up by ION in recent months along with a leading SaaS CTRM supplier – Aspect. We are working to confirm the rumor and will have a comprehensive blog post later with our analysis of the rumored transaction. If the rumor is true, it leaves only two larger independent CTRM vendors in place. It does appear that the acquisition has taken place as we heave heard from many sources now that the deal is done. We won’t mention the name of the acquired vendor until there is official word from it or ION but we have spoken to many sources this morning close to the companies who tell us the deal is done.
