Catching Up with CTRM Deals

While we were away, a number of new deals were announced recently…

SunGard Energy announced that they had licensed their Aligne product to Kelag Group, “one of the leading energy service providers in Austria”, to manage their power and gas trading, operations and risk management across Austria, Germany and southeastern European markets. The company will use the product for real-time portfolio management across its generation, retail and trading groups; in addition to management reporting, market risk and credit risk management.  Also for SunGard, though not officially announced, San Miguel  Global  Power  Holdings  in the Philippines will use  SunGard’s  Aligne  and  MarketMap  for the company’s energy trading, billing and settlement needs – A couple of solid wins for SunGard

With an announcement from Aspect Enterprise Solutions a couple of weeks ago, the company is demonstrating that their dominance in SaaS delivered solutions for the African oil trading markets is continuing.  Oando Supply & Trading, Nigeria’s largest independent and privately owned oil trading company, has signed up for AspectCTRM for their trading and risk management operations in both their London and Lagos Nigeria offices.   As Aspect’s press release notes, Oando Supply & Trading, established in 2004 and which also uses the vendor’s AspectDSC product, is one of Africa’s largest independent privately owned oil trading companies and is a large-scale exporter and importer of petroleum products.

iRely announced that they had done a deal with National Oil & Gas to implement a full enterprise software solution for their petroleum distribution services.  National Oil & Gas specializes in petroleum delivery, operating transport trucks and tank wagons that deliver to over 200 locations in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois, and is comprised of three partnered ventures: National Oil, National E&R and Black Gold Ventures, LLC.  iRely notes that their newest announced customer will use the system for front and back office operations, including all the way through billing and treasury functions.
