ComTech Advisory just released our 2019 CTRM Market Sizing, Trend and Outlook report. In that report, we have forecast the 2019 CTRM Market will close the year at $1.7B, including vendor software, implementation services and the value of home-built or bespoke solutions. Beyond the current year, we are forecasting the global markets for CTRM technologies will grow 3.2% per annum through 2023. In the report, we noted several key trends that are creating significant uncertainties and challenges for both vendors and buyers of CTRM technologies, including: the increasing adoption of SaaS solutions (or even for on-premises installs, rental type agreements); the impact of vendor consolidation (driven in particular by ION); the increasing replacement of older monolithic solutions with newer agile products; the impact of SAP’s growing presence in the CTRM space; geopolitical uncertainties such a trade wars; the growth of the Asia-Pac marketplace and the potential impact of emerging technologies. Each of these trends, on their own, has the potential to move the market significantly up or down in any given year. Taken together, it really is “interesting” times in the CTRM space.
