(As announced at this year’s ComTech Advisory awards banquet…) Good evening everyone and welcome to 2015 ComTech Advisory Awards Banquet! Finding a winner of Best CTRM System of the Year is a difficult choice. Why? Because the reality is that every vendor has certain capabilities and strengths that are a best fit for some buyer in the market. Clearly some vendors will do well in a given year because the segment or segments that they service were active and lots of deals were done. Does that make them the “best”? Certainly for those buyers that selected them, it does. But for those that didn’t, another vendor was clearly the “best”. As we at ComTech have noted many times, the market for ETRM/CTRM products is extremely complex. If one were to slice and dice this industry by users of these technologies, it would be a matrix of geographies, types of commodities bought or sold, company type identified by the assets they own or the businesses they operate, company size as measured by turnover or employee count, risk sophistication, etc. If your company is looking to buy one of these systems, there is will be one “best” CTRM solution and a few … continue reading
