Brady PLC recently appointed Ms. Carmen Carey as CEO and I had the opportunity to talk with her and learn more about her background and approach to the role as well as have her respond to a Q&A. As of last week, she had visited all of Brady’s offices and also met with many customers. Her initial view is that Brady “has high caliber customers, great people, a lot of depth of knowledge in the industry and those staff are passionate to deliver and succeed.” At the moment, she is also engaged in undertaking a product assessment to help her understand where Brady is viz its products and is very keen to expose their deep functionality better and thereby create more value add for the customers. One thing that was very clear was that she wants Brady to innovate and to be more responsive generally.
